PhotoEngine peculiar characteristic allows to subdivide photo groups between folders or events, and, at upper levels, between main sections or categories. Every folder or event is Characterized by a description and a date, allowing users to add many other personalized informations to these basic one.
Every registred user will approach archives following profiles modality established by the web administrator client, which manages with full powers the archives, being able to control every single activity carried out in the site and therefore to set permissions and restrictions for every user.
The limits of storing images are almost nonexistent: currently the platform supports millions photos traffic and it can be increased practically to the infinite.
Every server resides in air conditioned datacenter, equipped with anti fire and anti intrusion systems, managed by redundant connectivity (max 14Gbit/s) and feeding devices (5 Megawatt high tension voltage power supply station with 4 UPS 500Kva parallel, emergency power supplied by two diesel generators starting automatically within 60sec from power breakdown), garrisoned by vigilance staff and system management attendance on 24x24, 7x7 basis shift.
PhotoEngine applications will be located as third level dominions of photoengine.it, instead of having their own Internet dominion.
